Company in a leadership transition from CEO Peter Matlare to Lawrence MacDoogall during this period, with the former being replaced as a result of the poor sub-Saharan African operations. The report possibly not reflective of the new leadership team. Reviews from the chair and former CEO weak and failed to address or provide insight into significant GELSCE issues. No mention of anti-competitive behaviour, a vulnerability for this industry, and misleading with respect to product health concerns, particularly in the way Tiger Brands’ Eat Well, Live Well programme is portrayed. Some anticipation of a carbon tax, but in general only a dawning awareness of environmental responsibilities.
