Despite some improvement since 2015, the Mediclinic report nonetheless still suffers from a compliance approach in many areas, as well as from a lack of integration between sections, some even published separately. This is in contrast to Mediclinic’s efforts to integrate its different business, cross compare data and experiences, and apply best practice across the group.
While Mediclinic reports poorly against some material issues, such as skills development, it provides an excellent, factual clinical report, as well as good insight into how the data is being used to drive performance. Mediclinic cannot be accused of dressing up its reporting with superfluity, but nor does it impress with leadership attention and insight to the most important issues facing the business.
